Zombies in Spaceland map – Infinite Warfare

Zombies in Spaceland moves away from the largely serious nature of Zombies and throws its players into a mad, exhilarating theme park of thrills, spills, and kills.

It carries on the novelty of Zombies maps around that time by having celebrity David Hasselhoff as the host and also demanded that players work together by having doors that needed to be opened by multiple teammates.

As well as the bright aesthetic, fun traps, and nicely divided up areas of the park, there were also the mini-games in the Astrocade. Featuring multiple, interactive arcade games, players could amass a collection of tokens to redeem for cool prizes.

To sweeten the pot further, players could also grab a bit of a breather on the Triton rollercoaster, a moving shooting gallery. As a whole, Zombies in Spaceland is a fun novelty that separates itself from a lot of the pack to form an identity.

Временной парадокс

Еще одна интересная идея Raven. В Modern Warfare 3 Infinity Ward провернула интересный ход — якобы, в машине Захаева, когда тому отстрелил руку Прайс, находился Юрий, главный герой триквела, и Макаров — антагонист второй и третьей частей.

В оригинале Modern Warfare заднее сиденье машины была пусто, а вместо Макарова был обычный водитель. Парадокс состоит в том, чтобы убить в этой сцене можно не только Захаева, но и Макарова, и, тем самым, предотвратить события Modern Warfare 2 и 3.

Боялись, что издатель и дальше будет делать переиздания? А вот как бы все, ничего из этого не было. Временной парадокс. Приятно, что разработчики внимательно отнеслись к первоисточнику.

Mob of the Dead map – Black Ops II

As a DLC-only map, it may not have been enjoyed by as many people as base maps, but the legacy that Mob of the Dead has left been is unreal.

Fans of Warzone’s Rebirth Island would already have been familiar with Mob of the Dead as the map is set in the world-famous Alcatraz prison. It manages to intertwine the themes of the undead with mobsters, and create a perfect scenario in which you need to escape the island.

Action in Mob of the Dead is intense unlike any other, particularly with the tightness of the corridors and its surroundings at times. The Easter Egg for Mob of the Dead is tremendous, and we definitely need to see it reimagined in the future for all players to experience.

Nacht der Untoten map – World at War / Black Ops III

It’s entirely up to you which version of Nacht you opt for, but there’s a part of us that yearns for the simplicity of its original form.

When players completed Call of Duty: World at War, after the credits rolled, many were surprised to be whisked away to a random room with creepy music and only a pistol.

So began the legacy of CoD Zombies, and unlike the Black Ops III remake, the pure nature of Nacht der Untoten still makes it a challenge to this day. No Perks, no Pack-A-Punch, just 1-4 players in a handful of confined rooms.

Given how many Wonder Weapons can be obtained in modern CoD games, the feeling of pure euphoria when you got a Ray Gun from the Mystery Box in Nacht der Untoten was unlike anything else.

Why isn’t Black Ops 2 being remastered?

We believe there could be two strong reasons for Black Ops 2 not being remastered, one being that it would oversaturate the CoD market, and also that we’ve already seen a few of its maps recently.

If a full Black Ops 2 remaster were to exist anytime soon, it would mean that Activision would have the end of Black Ops Cold War’s run, 2019’s Modern Warfare, Warzone, Vanguard, and Black Ops 2.

One of the problems 2016’s Infinite Warfare suffered from is that it released with the full Call of Duty 4 remaster, and consequently, the player base was divided between the two games.

Furthermore, Black Ops Cold War featured no less than seven Black Ops 2 map remasters throughout its multiple seasons, and they feel too fresh in the memory to warrant a remaster of the multiplayer.

We could see a remaster of the Black Ops campaigns, following the successful rerelease of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign.

Activision may have some surprises and remasters up their sleeves, but for the time being, we can only speculate and ask you to keep checking in to see if anything becomes official.

Со временем механика стрельбы Call of Duty менялась, но все же основные ее элементы были заложены в Call of Duty 2. Для нынешних реалий это тоже вполне удобоваримо, но переиздание получило изменения и здесь.

Может быть, это побочный продукт переезда на новые рельсы, но не заметить нельзя — в переиздании оружие стало аккуратным, не таких громоздким и схематичным, как в оригинале. Кроме этого, сделать сейчас более точными «вулбоксы» противников тоже не составляет труда, на это нужно не так много мощности железа.

Последний элемент хорошо может показать себя в мультиплеере, но до его релиза придется ждать почти месяц. Очень интересно, какие еще новшества разработчики преподнесли в нем.

Не все, конечно, да и количество волос в усах капитана Прайса посчитать не удастся, но результат получился таким, что его не стыдно показать подрастающему поколению. Также было вполне очевидно, что от современного движка в переиздание переедет система обработки освещения и частиц — ей здесь самое место. Все эти искры и взрывы очень красиво выглядят именно благодаря ей.

Raven Software смогла применить новые технологии аккуратно и точечно, чтобы игроки их смогли заметить. Например, после взрывов на поверхность падают горящие обломки, которые остаются там еще некоторое время, освещая ночную локацию. Их попросту не было в оригинале. Современные графические системы, мощные процессоры и прочее позволили поместить на уровни еще больше деталей — хотя, кажется, куда уж больше? Ан нет, дизайнеры Raven смогли наполнить ключевые сцены техникой, добавить атмосферных деталей. В знаменитом уровне на Украине, в торговом центре можно найти новые плакаты или книги на русском — в основном, школьные учебники. Полигон, где мы пытались побить рекорд разработчиков, оказывается, был набит техникой. Просто технологии 2007 года этого не позволяли показать.

Если помните, то финал Modern Warfare проходил практически в полной тишине, на которую не повлиял даже взрыв вертолета Захаева. В переиздании Raven постаралась сделать развязку как можно более впечатляющей.Например, когда Григгс пытается переместить игрока в безопасное место, мы четко можем различить следы от выстрелов, место попадания и целый росчерк крови во время его смерти. В плюс к этому Raven добавила сочный звук попадания пули в тело и целый ворох ахов-вздохов, а кольт, который вам передает по поверхности асфальта капитан Прайс, издает натуральный скрежет, собирая каждую кочку.

Может быть, описание сцены звучит так себе, но поверьте нам — она стала лучше.

Modern Warfare в 2007 году позволяла себе пользоваться некоторыми упрощениями, свойственными для того времени. Сейчас, если посмотреть видеопрохождения или запустить оригинал самому, такие моменты вызывают сдержанную улыбку. Например, когда бойцы SAS вырезали решетку на станции ближе к финалу, пилы у них появлялись буквально из воздуха, да и резали они скорее символично, абы как. Modern Warfare Remastered такого себе уже не позволяет и бойцы с самого начала таскают на горбу пилы и режут исключительно нужные крепления.

Тоже самое касается предметов обмундирования, газетных вырезок в бардачке машины или прорисованных вплоть до портов USB настольных компьютеров, в один из которых боец США вставляет свою флешку с репом на телестанции.

Фабула

Два континента посетят ваши главные воины, чтобы впоследствии найти и уничтожить логово террористов. Сначала вам предстоит отыскать террористов на улицах самого крупного американского мегаполиса. На сей раз террористы перемещаются по локациям, используя новые виды военной техники. Также вам и вашим спецназовцам предстоит посетить вражеские базы, где террористы удерживают заложников и выдвигают свои собственные ультиматумы. Затем вы переместитесь в столицу Британии, где также будете отчаянно сдерживать натиск врагов. В Англии вам придется воевать с новыми соратниками русского террориста, который разместил свои террористические группировки в разных городах Америки и Европы. Это хитрый и опасный преступник, который мстит за своего товарища по оружию. Так что вам как игроку предстоит приложить максимум усилий, чтобы найти и обезвредить врага. Конечный ваш игровой пункт – это столица России, где вы сможете впоследствии найти самого главного террориста современности.

Геймплей

Ваша основная миссия в игре – это спасение всего мира, поэтому перед вами сразу будут карты, которыми вы должны руководствоваться по мере продвижения в игре. С новым оружием и техникой вы легко будете расправляться с террористами. Когда вы попадете на африканский континент, там вы встретитесь с грозными повстанцами, которым поставляют оружие террористы. Вы сможете в одиночном режиме решать судьбу страны, а можете в кооперативном режиме вместе с друзьями уничтожать всех опасных врагов на разных континентах. Стрельбы будет много, поэтому используйте оружие по назначению, постоянно пополняйте боеприпасы, ищите новые предметы, которые помогут вам модернизировать военную технику.
