Ауисотль (англ. Ahuizot) — собакоподобное существо из книги «Дэринг Ду и Поиски Сапфировой Статуэтки» из серии «Читай и наслаждайся» и из серии «Дэринг Доунт». Он главный антагонист Дэринг Ду во время её поисков сапфировой статуэтки. У него удлиненная собачья голова с глазами, расположенными над его носом, на конце его морды. Он ходит на четвереньках с собакоподобными задними конечностями и обезьяноподобными передними конечностями, у него длинный обезьяний хвост с рукой на конце. У Ауисотля шерсть стиля смокинга, включающая темно-синий мех на большей части его тела, а живот, нижняя челюсть и передние конечности имеют более светлый синий цвет. On July 20, 2013, an clip of this episode was shown at San Diego Comic-Con International. In the clip, Applejack/Mistress Mare-velous, Fluttershy/Saddle Rager, Pinkie Pie/Fili-Second, Rainbow Dash/Zapp, Rarity/Radiance, Spike/Hum Drum, Twilight Sparkle/Masked Matter-Horn, the Mane-iac, and more characters appear.

Marcel Duperreault, Todd Araki, Jason Fredrickson, and Adam McGhie won a 2014 Leo Award for their work on this episode for «Best Overall Sound in an Animation Program or Series».

This episode’s original cut was 32 minutes long, however 10 minutes of footage were removed due to time constraints.

A small part showing Pinkie in her Fili-Second costume reappears in Cakes for the Memories.

The scene when Fluttershy becomes angry and grows after Mane-iac harms a firefly reappears in Memnagerie.

Ферма «Сладкое Яблоко»

Самой большой и значимой, можно даже сказать градообразующей, фермой для Понивилля является «Сладкое яблочко», где живут и трудятся бабуля Смит, Большой Маки, Эпплджек и Эппл Блум. На ферме растёт много видов яблок, но особое место среди них занимают вольт-яблоки. Здесь же на ферме из плодов делают пироги, джемы, сидр и многое другое. Большей частью яблоки и продукты из них продаются в Понивилле, а некоторые, как, например, вольт-яблочный джем, по всей Эквестрии.

Также известно, что в окрестностях Понивилля есть обширные поля, засеиваемые морковью, сельдереем, цветами, возможно, и другими культурами («Последний день зимы»). По ходу сериала можно заметить, что в городе у некоторых домов возделываются небольшие огородики с морковью, помидорами и т.п.

На окраине живут коровы, дающие жителям молоко, хотя их нельзя отнести к домашним животным. У дома Флаттершай есть курятник. Хоть это и не показано в сериале, можно предположить, что яйца в городе берутся отсюда.

Торговля

Рынок Понивилля

Центром торговли в Понивилле можно считать рынок. Сюда приходят пони, чтобы купить фрукты, овощи, цветы и многое другое. Показан рынок во многих сериях. Так, например, в «Настоять на своём» Флаттершай пыталась купить здесь овощи на салат для Энджела. В эпизоде «Отличительные знаки» Эппл Блум демонстрирует Эпплджек и потенциальным покупателям свои навыки продавца, когда они пришли на рынок продавать яблоки с фермы.

«Сахарный уголок»

В «Сахарном уголке» живут и работают Мистер и Миссис Пирожок, помогает им Пинки Пай. Здесь продаются всевозможные сладости и выпечка. Также здесь нередко устраиваются праздники, в основном с лёгкой руки (копыта?) Пинки Пай. Подобные вечеринки можно видеть, например, в сериях «Заносчивый грифон», «День рождения». В «Уголке» также проходил приём Принцессы Селестии («Птица Феникс»).

Рарити содержит бутик «Карусель», где шьёт, демонстрирует и продаёт платья. В основном, она делает вечерние платья, наряды не на каждый день, внимательно следит за модой и мечтает, чтобы её творения продавались в Кантерлоте. И ей это удаётся: нередко поступают крупные заказы, в том числе от знаменитостей.

Бутик «Карусель»

Уже упомянутая ферма «Сладкое яблочко» также занята в торговле. В сезон продаётся сидр («Сверхскоростная Соковыжималка 6000»), как было сказано выше, яблоки продаются на рынке, вольтяблочный джем продают Филси Рич, а он уже торгует им по всей Эквестрии («День семьи»)

Помимо этого в отдельных эпизодах встречаются или хотя бы упоминаются магазин розыгрышей («Заносчивый грифон»), магазин «Перья и Софы» («Попытка ревности»), магазин костюмов («Приглашение на бал»), книжный («Заносчивый грифон») и некоторые другие…

Развлечения

Кафе Понивилля

В Понивилле есть кафе, куда Искорка и Спайк зашли перекусить в серии «Приглашение на бал». В летнее время при хорошей погоде на улице стоят столики, на них вазы с цветами. Поесть можно и в помещении.

В городе имеется спа-салон, где две услужливые пони помогут расслабиться и привести себя в порядок. Здесь можно сходить в сауну, принять ванну, сделать копытокюр, маску для лица, побаловать себя массажем. Это очень популярное заведение в городе, нередко здесь можно увидеть и главных героинь (например, «У страха глаза велики», «Интуиция Пинки», «Секреты дружбы» и др.).

В городе есть также боулинг. В сериале он встречается в серии «Загадочная лихорадка», когда Искатели знаков отличия пробовали себя в этом спорте.

Помимо этого, в городе есть кинотеатр. В серии «Плохое яблоко» Искатели знаков отличия пытались спрятаться там от Бэбс Сид.

Appearance

The difference between baby ponies and young ponies is accented in the episode Call of the Cutie. School teacher Cheerilee shows a picture of herself at a very young age, and later contrasts it with another picture of herself being somewhat older than her students. She is depicted not possessing a cutie mark in the former picture, and remarks that «her flank was blank» until she grew older and got her cutie mark when she found her talent as a teacher and to help her students bloom with knowledge.

Most of the named colts on the show have unique character designs, unlike the fillies, stallions, and mares, who almost always share the same body design.

Plaid Stripes, «», «», filly Fluttershy, later filly Applejack, later filly Derpy, later filly Pear Butter, and have a more mature design than other foals, seen with a big head and skinny legs.

Most of the youngest of baby ponies have eyes that are styled differently from the usual pony eyes, more closely resembling the bead-like eyes with giant eyelashes of the pets from Hasbro’s toy line. and Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake share this design, which is also used by Apple Bloom when shown as a baby in photos in Ponyville Confidential, Snips and Snails when turned into babies in Magic Duel, Applejack and another pony when shown as babies in a flashback and/or photos in Apple Family Reunion, and yet another pony when shown as a baby in a flashback in Top Bolt. Other babies with the same design appear in Baby Cakes and various other materials. In The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows, baby Applejack’s design is updated to include normal-looking eyes. This same design is used for Flurry Heart.

The UK & Ireland version of Boomerang’s promotional webpage and commercial for their 2011 Make it a My Little Pony Christmas competition both show in silhouette, with his flying sleigh pulled by Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle on the webpage and by Princess Celestia in the commercial. Santa Claus was similarly an unseen character in previous generations of My Little Pony.

Live-action teenage girls portray the Mane Six, Sunset Shimmer, the Dazzlings, and other characters in various Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks, and Friendship Games promotional media and music videos.

An edited version of pre-Equestria Girls fanart of the Mane Six as humans was posted by the official European Spanish My Little Pony Facebook page on June 26, 2015.

In an Instagram Q&A, Grogar references stage magicians Penn and Teller, and Lord Tirek calls former wrestler-turned actor Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson one of his idols.

Cutie Marks

A cutie mark, a mainstay of My Little Pony, is a special mark on a pony’s flank showing an icon related to their special talent.

During Call of the Cutie, Cheerilee tells her students that no amount of pleading, wishing, or begging will make a cutie mark happen before its time, and that the best thing to do is wait. Different ponies develop different special talents as they mature, and at different times; for instance, Rarity’s special skill is gem-finding, Fluttershy’s is caring for animals, Rainbow Dash’s is speed, Applejack’s is apple farming, and Pinkie Pie’s is party-throwing.

One prominent example of a pony finding her talent is Twilight Sparkle. During a flashback in The Cutie Mark Chronicles, she studies hard at magic and her parents enroll her in Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. The sonic rainboom spurs her powerful magic into action, showing that she has enough raw magic ability to turn her parents into foliage and enlarge an infant Spike. Princess Celestia informs Twilight that she’s never seen that much raw talent in a unicorn before, and her cutie mark subsequently appears.

Depiction in the series

The Pony Tones are a singing ensemble of ponies who perform for various social events and charities in Ponyville. When first introduced, they are to perform for a fundraiser that Fluttershy organizes for the Ponyville Pet Center. However, prior to the fundraiser’s scheduled time, Big McIntosh loses his voice during a turkey call competition. Using a potion that Zecora brews from poison joke leaves to deepen her voice, Fluttershy sings for Big Mac behind a curtain (suffering from stage fright) while Big Mac lip-syncs.

As a result of their performance at the fundraiser, the Pony Tones are approached to give additional performances at Zipporwhill’s cute-ceañera, a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Mayor Mare, the Day Spa, and Cheerilee’s class of school foals in the Ponyville Schoolhouse. With each performance given, Fluttershy’s confidence in herself rises, but she also starts improvising her part, making it difficult for Big Mac to keep up with her. For their next performance at Sugarcube Corner, Big Mac recovers his voice, but agrees to let Fluttershy sing for him one last time. However, Fluttershy gets carried away and exposes herself; despite her embarrassment, her performance is praised.

Toward the end of the episode, Fluttershy joins the Pony Tones as a part-time fifth member, privately performing at her cottage for her pony and critter friends. However, she declines making public appearances with the band, citing the «baby steps» she is taking to overcome her stage fright.

The Pony Tones get mentioned by Rarity and they appear in a poster in a flashback of Filli Vanili in Memnagerie, during the part when Rarity offers Fluttershy a spot but she declines due to her stage fright.

In a story titled «Vlieglessen voor Tank» («Flying Lessons for Tank»), Rainbow Dash gives Tank flying lessons. The story takes place immediately after the events of May the Best Pet Win!​​
