Player Recommendations[]
This vehicle is best played as a hull down support vehicle taking cover behind a rock, wreck, hill, or other position where only its well armored turret is exposed to incoming fire. Failing that, it can be a second line MBT capitalizing on firepower and agility, the latter to avoid incoming fire with the help of smoke grenades. The hull is weak and vulnerable, and any hits are best taken on the turret.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Premium vehicle, so additional credit and reputation generation.
- Tier 8 armor on the turret, along with great gun depression
- Has better AP ammo than an upgraded M1A2, giving it outstanding firepower at tier 7
- Agile and nimble for an MBT
- Compared to the Sabra Mk. 2, it has better camo, higher DPM, better traverse speeds, and a higher top speed.
Cons
- Weak hull armor for its tier. Even lower tiered vehicles might frontally penetrate it.
- In comparison, the Sabra Mk. 2 has better penetration, accuracy, acceleration, view range, and has ERA.
- Only available in the Collector’s Edition bundles
- Commander: Phillip Holzklau
- Driver: Off-road Driving, Spin to Win
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Explosive Shells
- Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist

Apple Watch.

Briefing[]
«March, 2047»
«I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.»
«In 2044, a series of supervolcano eruptions nearly resulted in the extinction of man. Only shattered remnants of once proud civilizations now remain with most of the old world buried under the cold blanket of ash and cinder, as the survivors fight over the few scraps left.In the aftermath of the apocalypse, Ivo Rinaldi and a retired Russian officer by the name of Igor Kopylov, both having weathered the storm in one of Enigma’s secret shelters, started a settlement. The tiny outpost is anything but safe though; raiders roam the land in search for their prey. Commandeering a salvaged Enigma warship, both men set out on a mission to capture vital resources in the Georgian city of Gori, recently devastated by an earthquake.»

Secondary Objectives[]
Destroy the AA Launchers
When players reach certain points of the mission, stationary emplacements will spawn within certain buildings that will mostly target the ally warship, but they can also fire missiles towards player vehicles.
The first set of targets (three emplacements on Hardcore difficulty; six emplacements on Extreme difficulty) appears around E3 shortly after reaching the first circle at C4 during «Cross the Town» primary objective. The time limit is 1 minute.
The second set of targets (five emplacements on Hardcore difficulty; eight emplacements on Extreme difficulty) appears around D6 after reaching the third circle at E5. The time limit is 1 minute.
The third set of targets (ten emplacements on Hardcore difficulty; fifteen emplacements on Extreme difficulty) appears along the buildings at H5 and H6 when «Wait for the Warship» primary objective becomes active. The time limit is 2 minutes.

Player Recommendations[]
Featuring excellent mobility and a potent ATGM launcher, the VBL TOW is an ATGM-only vehicle which functions as a long-range sniper. With excellent camouflage, a good view range, and excellent gun depression, the VBL TOW is tailor made for long range ridge poking and sniping, relying on its camo rating and mobility to make up for the fact that its armor is ineffective against many weapons.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent camouflage rating
- Very good mobility
- Very good gun depression
- High damage ATGM
- Great DPM for 20mm autocannon. Almost instant reload. Extremely high ROF. Huge clip.
- Looks cute, but dangerous
- Invisible movement
Cons
- Negligible armor
- Low hit points
- Low survivability
- TOW makes it into an inferior version of «Swingfire»
Upgrade Suggestions
Because of the VBL TOW’s reliance on firepower and mobility, upgrading to the BGM-71C TOW ATGM and M14 TCI Turbo-diesel Engine should be an early priority.
- Commander: Sabrina Washington, to improve the camo rating, view range, and crew stats
- Driver: Spin to Win, Off-Road Driving
- Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist

Gameplay[]
- For a full list of playable Main Battle Tanks, see .
One of the main features that most Main Battle Tanks have is heavy frontal armor that allow them to withstand enemy attacks as front line vehicles. While most of the armor is on the frontal section of the turret and upper front plate of the hull, the lower front plates are usually the tanks’ frontal weakspot.
In comparison with Light Tanks and Armored Fighting Vehicles, Main Battle Tanks have poor camouflage and view range. They lose most, if not all, of their camouflage after firing the main gun, and AP shells also lose more penetrative values over distance in comparison with other classes using similar shells and initial penetrative values, making this class not ideal for long range sniping.
Although Main Battle Tanks are not agile and are vulnerable to flanking attacks, they excel at combating in narrow spaces such as urban areas and valleys. Nonetheless they are viable in almost all scenarios and should serve as the central piece in each team, leading the charge while soaking up damage for their team.
The progression Main Battle Tanks have their characteristics that are largely divided by their dealership and country of origin:
- American tanks (Patton series and Abrams series) are generally all-rounder vehicles.
- German tanks (Leopard series) have relatively weak armor, but also very accurate guns among its class.
- British tanks (Chieftain series and Challenger series) are the slowest, but also the most heavily armored.
- Soviet and Russian tanks have high damage per shot and favor close range combat (aka brawling) with their relatively high hull traverse
- Low tier Chinese tanks behave similarly to early Soviet tanks, but high tier tanks tend to have greater extremities than their Russian counterparts.
- Israeli tanks are also all-rounders with relatively low damage per shot but higher health pool.
- French, Italian, and Asian tanks under Francine De Laroche allow a high degree of customization, and they generally favor high offensive power over defensive features.
As of October 2021, most Main Battle Tanks lose 20% camouflage when moving or turning, 25% camouflage when firing their main gun’s shells, and 20% when firing missiles (if available). They also have the ability to switch ammunition type quickly when a shell is already loaded instead of having to repeat the whole reloading process all over again.
Player Recommendations[]
The first of a line of modular upgrades to the T-72 platform, the T-72A continues the trend of heavy hitting firepower the T series is known for. With high DPM and good upgraded mobility, it is a strong brawler and hull down warrior when it can fight on open ground. But with a mediocre stock top speed and acceleration and poor gun depression, this vehicle is one of the harder Russian MBTs to play compared to the T-80 and T-64 mod. 1975.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High alpha
- Excellent turret armor
- Armor upgrade gives some protection against HEAT and guided missiles through ERA along the front half of the sides, turret front and hull front
Cons
- Poor hull armor
- Poor gun depression
- Mediocre stock top speed and acceleration
Upgrade Suggestions
Upgrading to the V-84 Diesel Engine will greatly improve the poor stock mobility of the T-72A, so this should be researched as early as possible. Upgrading to the Kontakt-1 ERA offers heavily improved protection from ATGMs and HEAT shells. Firepower upgrades such as ammunition and modules are important in the long run, but should not be focused early due to their high research cost relative to mobility and protection upgrades.
- Commander: Juan Carlos, to improve the aim speed and crew stats.
- Driver: Spin to Win, Off-Road Driving
- Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist
Player Recommendations[]
Continuing the legacy of the M1 Abrams, the M1A1 is a modernized variant featuring increased firepower and protection. While not as mobile as the M1 Abrams, it compensates with much more effective protection against HEAT ammunition, and a more powerful gun. A jack of all trades, the M1A1’s excellent combination of firepower, mobility, and protection makes it a very capable flanker and brawler.
Cons
- Mediocre stock damage and penetration
- Armor protection is average until the Heavy Common upgrade is installed
Upgrade Suggestions
The M1A1 Abrams has a significant number of armor upgrades, which should be researched early to improve protection. Another focus should be armament improvements, as the upgraded APFSDS dramatically increases damage output.
- Commander: Juan Carlos, to improve the aim speed and crew stats
- Driver: Spin to Win, Off-Road Driving
- Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist

Light Tank Ability Changes
The Light Tank ability ‘ECU Override’ has had its cooldown reduced from 60 seconds to 45. We also increased the duration of ECU Override from 5 seconds to 8 and the Light Tanks no longer lose speed when turning while the ability is active.
High-Tier AFV Health Increase
At higher tiers (e.g. 7-10), AFVs have been having a harder time surviving due to the increasing alpha damage, accuracy, and mobility available to MBTs. We’re making some minor Hitpoints changes right now to get things moving in the right direction, and we’ll be taking larger steps to address this problem — as well as the overall jumps in power at this tier range — in the future.
Abbot Overhaul
We’ve removed the tier 3 Abbot and replaced it with another variant at tier 4 in order to ensure it can more consistently enter a PvP match against other artillery. Players who already own the tier 3 variant will retain the vehicle and be given the tier 4 variant as well.
Challenger 2
The nominal thickness of the Challenger 2 has been increased from 320 to 420. This is to accommodate the higher penetration values of Tier 10. This will not result in any difference in play at lower tiers.

History[]
Class: Main Battle Tank (Prototype)Developed: 1982-1986Service: N/AVehicles Built: 1Operators: N/AThis is one of the earliest Leclerc prototypes called MSC (Mulet Systéme Complet). It was based on a technology developed for the failed AMX-40 export MBT as a part of a program called EPC, which would in 1986 be renamed to Leclerc in honor of Philippe François Marie Leclerc de Hauteclocque, a famous Free French commander during the Second World War. This tank (effectively still a testbed) featured the early versions of many components that would later make it to the production version, such as the 120mm smoothbore gun by GIAT or the UNIDIESEL V8X engine. This vehicle appeared in several configurations between 1986 and 1989 and underwent numerous tests, which resulted in the construction of the first real Leclerc prototypes that were even more packed with modern electronics, resulting in the biggest difference between the Leclerc and other western MBTs – the use of digital technologies.
