Appearance

Senpai appears as a young, light-skinned man with a constant blush and parted strawberry blonde hair. He wears a partially tucked-in periwinkle blue button-up shirt, a loose pink tie, grayish-purple jeans held up by a black belt with a silver buckle, and grayish-purple shoes. He carries a brown backpack in his right hand over his right shoulder and holds a pink microphone loosely in his left with his thumb and index finger. His head sparkles whenever he is not singing. Fitting his dating sim origins, he stands and stares forward in the player’s direction instead of towards his opponent.

His previously happy expression changes to a more discomforted and menacing glare in his second track, with the upper part of his face appearing blueish-purple, shadowing his eyes. His tie appears bent. He now clutches his microphone fully in his left hand. The sparkles around his head are now gone. His forward-facing stance remains the same, but his eyes are now focused squarely in Boyfriend’s direction, even while singing.

Appearance

Mommy Mearest has a demonic-looking appearance with purple skin, black eyes with red glowing pupils and long auburn hair with several pointed ends and a curved cowlick. She wears a form-fitting red dress underneath of a black jacket, black thigh-high heel boots, a black garter belt, golden hoop earrings, a golden necklace and a pair of golden bracelets on each wrist. She has dark red lipstick on and sharp red-painted fingernails. She clutches a microphone in her right hand but will sometimes hold it in her left while singing.

During Week 5, she wears a Santa Claus outfit with a plunging neckline, a black belt with a golden buckle, white fur-lined knee-high heel boots, and golden hoop earrings. She sits on Daddy Dearest’s lap who is seated on Santa Claus’ throne chair. She holds a microphone for both of them in her left hand with her pinky out while holding onto her husband’s shoulder with her right hand.

• Judging by his lemon-shaped head and the tone of his song, many people believed Monster to be a reference to Lemon Demon, the musical pseudonym of internet comedian and musician Neil Cicierega. This however, was confirmed not to be the case by ninjamuffin99 in a reddit AMA, and that the similarities were purely coincidental.
  • People being led to believe that Monster was a reference to Lemon Demon was likely due to Lemon Demon’s music being incredibly popular on Newgrounds in the early 2000’s, and with the official release of «The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny» currently having over 13 million views on Newgrounds alone.
  • Despite popular belief, Monster’s voice was not provided by Neil Cicierega either. All of Monster’s songs were produced and performed by Bassetfilms, an animator on Newgrounds who helped design the character with PhantomArcade.
• The character is named «Monster» within the game’s files. All in-game files related to it have this name, though it may have been only a temporary name simply describing what it was.
• According to ninjamuffin99, the level that uses Monster’s scrapped song was not originally added as he was struggling with mapping it, leading to Week 2 being a track short upon its release. Shortly after Monster’s files were discovered, a user on Reddit mapped the entire song to his approval, leading to the chart being included in the game until a proper chart was created for it during the release of Week 7.
• PhantomArcade posted a video to his TikTok showing off more detailed and animated Monster sprites whilst saying, «This is a Friday Night Funkin’ leak. You guys don’t even have the right file. You guys are playing with the wrong one,» with the caption, «NO ONE EVEN HAS THE REAL ANIMATIONS, LMAOOOO.»
• Monster’s earlier sprites have an issue where his neck would appear longer and clip inside his own mouth whenever he bopped his head down. This version also lacked the stretch mark lines that appeared in his Week 5 appearance.
• Monster would go on to make his first official appearance in the game during the Week 5 update as both a background character and later an antagonist for the third track with updated animations. His unused track for Week 2, Monster, would be implemented into the game with the Week 7

Background

Sky is a 19 year old girl that fangirls Boyfriend and despises Girlfriend since they are dating. She traveled to the universe of Friday Night Funkin’ to finally be with Boyfriend but got upset about him refusing to date her because he is already in a stable relationship with Girlfriend already. She is the main antagonist of VS. Sky, made by BBPanzu. Her week includes 3 songs, which are named in order, Wife Forever, Sky, and Manifest. The Mod has 3 endings. In the good ending, Boyfriend defeats Sky and escapes her Manifest with Girlfriend. In the bad ending, Girlfriend is killed by Sky and Boyfriend is forced to live with Sky in her Manifest. The last ending is just a joke called «Peanut Boyfriend» showing Boyfriend with a peanut shaped head.

Pico originates from Pico’s School, a point-and-click Flash game created by Newgrounds’ founder Tom Fulp in 1999. Due to the game’s popularity at the time, Pico quickly became a fan favorite around Newgrounds.

Since then, Pico has been appointed the site’s first mascot and has made other cameo appearances in many Newgrounds Flash films and games, and continues to remain a popular character on the site to this day.

Newgrounds also has a Holiday named after him known as «Pico Day,» a day centered around celebrating him and other famous figures in the Newgrounds community. It’s typically celebrated on the 30th of April, which also happens to be Tom Fulp’s birthday.

Папа (Daddy Dearest)

Gitaroo Man

The secret Game Over screen.

The Gitaroo Man is an easter egg that changes the regular Game Over screen to one reminiscent of Gitaroo Man’s Game Over screen. It has a 1 in 1,000 chance of occurring randomly during normal gameplay. Upon losing, the game will abruptly end with the screen going dark before the special screen appears. The artwork of Boyfriend’s head on this screen was created by Wandaboy.

Secret Tankman Animation Test

In the title screen, pressing the 5 or 8 key will lead to an image of Tankman in a transparent photoshop background. He has no mouth, his right forearm is misaligned and there is a duplicate arm asset next to his microphone.

Pressing the space bar will cause him to move, showing that it’s actually a broken version of the cutscene in Guns.

Multi-Colored Title Screen

Holding down the left or right key during the title screen will cause the color of Girlfriend and the game’s logo to change colors.

Old Boyfriend Icon

During any song in any level, pressing the 9 key will change Boyfriend’s character icon to the old icon he used prior to update 0.2.5.

Girlfriend has unused voice lines titled «GF_1.ogg», «GF_2.ogg», «GF_3.ogg» and «GF_4.ogg». They sound like random beeping, much like the vocals Boyfriend makes. They were used for the cutscenes, but since the speech bubbles never go used, this can’t be heard in the Tutorial. However, in the older versions, it was possible to access this with coding.

«soundTest.ogg» is a single drum noise played on repeat for 16 seconds. It was now confirmed that it was a latency state. It was for a down arrow moving towards a line with soundTest.ogg playing. It was found in the source code.

The Sound of the soundTest:

«Lights_Shut_off.ogg» is the sound that played when the screen blacks out at the end of Eggnog in Story Mode. This sound can not be fully heard as the game just cuts straight to the «jumpscare» at the very start of Winter Horrorland. This was fixed after the Week 7 update. It is possible to hear the sound for a split second if the game lags enough, however it is very rare to hear.

Note: Despite the TikTok version being different from her FNF mod counterpart, it’s possible that they may be able to scale, as Bbpanzu based the entire mod off of her TikTok videos, in which Sky’s creator gave approval of. It may be possible that this is an alternate Sky before she met Boyfriend, setting a timeline variation.

• Ink!Sans doesn’t have emotions and feelings because he is soulless. His fake emotions and feelings come from his vials of ink which he drinks regularly to feel emotions like normal beings do. Of course, if he ever stops drinking them, he will return to being emotionless just like in this case.
• Ink!Sans’ attacks do 0 damage, this is because while he is able to summon bone attacks and Gaster Blasters, like almost every alternative version of Sans, his attacks are made of ink so they don’t do any kind of damage.
• Ink!Sans ironically was the only one in his AU who had been able to develop emotions, after committing suicide and ending up outside of his Au he also became emotionless.
• Ink!Sans is the protector of all Undertale AUs, and thus he is the enemy of Error!Sans, the destroyer of AUs.
• Ink!Sans doesn’t care about the people inside the AUs but only the AUs themselves.
• Ink!Sans is usually depicted a good guy throughout the Undertale fandom. However, this is not the case.
