Enchanting items is the only way to progress through the stages. All enchantments have a requisite minimum enchanting skill needed to be able to be learned and used. Known enchantments will appear as one of four colors in the profession window, with a certain chance for a skill up (gaining a point).

  • Red: Not high enough skill to learn the enchant. (seen on items that teach an enchantment.)
  • Orange: Always gain a skill point doing the enchant (unless you’re already at the maximum). When indicated (with a number and up arrow to the right of the pattern name), the enchant will skill up by the shown number for each craft.
  • Yellow: Probably gain a skill point doing the enchant.
  • Green: Probably not gain a skill point doing the enchant.
  • Gray: Will never skill up doing the enchant.

As enchanting skill increases, enchantments will eventually change from orange to yellow, yellow to green and green to grey. Only by finding higher skill level enchantments can one continue to progress through the profession. Approximately every 5-10 points, new enchantments will become available to learn from enchantment trainers. Alternatively, enchantments can be looted from corpses or purchased either from vendors or the auction house. Additionally, some enchantments cannot be gotten until you have a certain reputation level with a particular faction. These are listed at the faction recipes entry.

Overview

An enchantment table.

When armor or a tool is enchanted, it will shine (much like a potion) with an animated purple effect, letting the holder and any nearby players see the item is enchanted. An enchanted item will display any current enchantments and their level of strength on the item (unless the enchantment is limited to level 1.) is examined in the inventory menu. Using the enchantment table method lets the player enchant armor, shovels, pickaxes, axes, swords, and bows. Much more stuff can be enchanted. However, this can only be done with an anvil and/or enchanted book. This process is very useful, If books are within a close range of an enchantment table, higher-level enchantments and more enchantments can be applied to a tool. 15 bookshelves achieve the maximum level of enchantments.

Basic mechanics[]

Whenever the player places an eligible item on the enchanting table, the enchantment levels available are randomly generated for each slot using the formula below. The enchantment level is dependent upon the number of nearby bookshelves (capped at 15) and which slot position it is in.

Base enchantment level available (base) = (randomInt(1,8) + floor(b / 2) + randomInt(0,b)),

where b is the number of nearby bookshelves (maximum of 15) and x..y generates a uniformly distributed random integer between x and y, inclusive. This is then modified according to the slot position:

Top slot enchantment level = floor(max(base / 3, 1))
Middle slot enchantment level = floor((base × 2) / 3 + 1)
Bottom slot enchantment level = floor(max(base, b × 2))

where max(x, y) returns the greater of two values x and y.

Note that a higher experience cost for a specific slot does not necessarily mean that the enchantments from that slot are better than the others with less cost.

In Creative mode, no levels of experience are necessary for enchantments.

Tools

Bat in a Bucket

Right-click a bat with an empty bucket to capture it (if you can!) and get the Bat in a Bucket.
Right-click to release the captured bat, causing the outline of all entities around you to be visible for a moment.

Glowballs

Combine a snowball with glowstone dust to get a glowball. You can throw it like a snowball and it will leave a little glowing blob where it impacts.

Raid Horns

A Raid Horn may be used to cancel a village raid that is in progress. When there is no raid in progress,
blowing a raid horn will call a wandering pillager patrol group to spawn nearby.

The Raid Horn has a 5% chance to drop from a patrol leader.

Repairing Your Items[]

Repairing an item

Enchanting Plus allows you to repair armor and weapons that have been enchanted by the enchantment table (remember that tools created via Tinkers’ Construct cannot be enchanted, unless putting the Tinkers’ Construct item and an enchantment book in an Anvil).

To repair equipment, simply place the damaged item on the enchantment table slot (it will now display the ‘Repairing Cost’) and press the button labeled ‘R’. Assuming you have the required levels, and that the item has at least one enchantment, it should be fully repaired.

It is important to note that the cost to repair an item must not be higher than the capacity of the table (tip: items with enchantments have a higher repair cost!). This means that a table with little or no bookshelves nearby won’t be able to repair heavily damaged items.

Для наложения чар необходимо положить предмет, на который будет накладываться заклинание, на стол зачарования, после чего в правом окне появиться перечень заклинаний, которые можно будет наложить на предмет. Иероглифы вместо названий первое время будут вызывать недоумение, но смысловой нагрузки эти символы не несут. Что бы понять какое заклинание мы будем накладывать, необходимо навести стрелку на соответствующую надпись. Расходными материалами при чаровании будут опыт игрока и ультрамарин, в зависимости от уровня накладываемых чар.

Практически все заклинания имеют многоуровневую структуру. Уровни заклинаний нумеруются от 1 до 5 (Например: Неразрушимость 1, Эффективность 5). Уровень максимального зачарования предметов зависит только от одного критерия: количества книжных полок находящихся на расстоянии не более чем одного блока от стола.

Возможности и варианты наложения зачарования в Майнкрафт весьма разнообразны, при этом, если количества очков опыта игрока не хватает, то можно будет при помощи факелов временно отключить действие некоторых шкафов, понизив уровень чарования предметов.

Альтернативными способами наложения чар на предметы является использование соответствующей книги зачарований, наковальни, а так же чарование предмета у библиотекаря в деревне.

Механизм наложения чар с использованием наковальни внешне похож на ремонт, но вместо ресурса, используемого для восстановления, в слот добавляется книга зачарований. Наковальня, кроме того, позволяет объединить разные свойства 2-х одинаковых предметов в один.

можно так же получить при торговле с жителями деревни, найти в сундуках или выудить из реки во время рыбалки.

К сожалению, не все свойства можно объединить в одном предмете. Чары в Майнкрафт будут конфликтовать между собой, если они оба относятся к одной категории наносящих дополнительный урон, защиты или одинаковы между собой. Помимо этого шелковое касание нельзя объединить с удачей, а при получении такого предмета давать нужный эффект он не будет. Исключением является Легкость, которая относясь к защите успешно сочетается с другими чарами своей группы.

. Среди игроков эти свойства нередко называются «зачарованиями»
(иногда «зачарованием» называется сам процесс наложения этих свойств), но это не совсем корректно с точки зрения русского языка.

Enchanting Recipes[]

To enchant an Item, you must first set up the Enchanting Pedestal and insert the item you wish to enchant. Next, set up the Enchanting Pillars around the pedestal in the correct compass directions and distances, and fill them with the required incense. If all other conditions are met, you can interact with the pedestal and Enchant the item. If the recipe has not been met successfully you will be notified.

One common aspect of all Enchantments are the Cardinal Directions instructions. These relate to the Enchanting Pillars you need to place around the Enchanting Pedestal — up to 4 in total — with the correct directions and distances.

The first letter of the instruction represents the direction (North, South, East, West) and the second letter indicates the distance (Close or Far). For example, NF means North Far, WC means West Close, etc. These directions relate to the Compass Directions from the pedestal, not relative directions from the way the pedestal is facing.

  • «Close» pillars: stand at the edge of the pedestal, face the correct compass direction, and put the pillar down
  • «Far» pillars: stand at the edge of the pedestal, face the correct compass direction, roll once, take one or two steps forward, then put the pillar down.

Note: if there are additional Pillars around the Pedestal which are not in use, this will prevent the Enchantment from working.

Incense

The Incense required by the recipe must be placed in all required Enchanting Pillars, placed around the Pedestal in the required direction and distances.

The required Incense is always mentioned by the recipe, so all you need to do is make sure each pillar has the Incense in it.

Compatible Equipment

The Enchanting recipe will list compatible types of Equipment which can be used with the Enchantment. This is sometimes broad such as «Any Weapon», vague such as «Gold» (ie. Gold Set), or specific to individual items.

This part of the recipe restricts which items can be used with the Enchantment.

Other Conditions

Other conditions on the Enchanting Recipe can dictate other conditions such as Weather, Time of Day, Temperature, etc.

This part of the Enchantment recipe differs the most between recipes, so refer to individual recipes for more details.

Tweaks

Music improvements

When a music disc plays in a jukebox, background music will be stopped and prevented from playing so that you don’t get two tracks playing at the same time.

Creative background music may now play in survival mode. In addition, the delay between ambient music tracks has been shortened.

Armor invisibility

Leather and chaimmail armor is now completely invisible and does not increase mob awareness when drinking a Potion of Invisibility, giving you a bit more protection while you ninja.

Automatic recipe unlock

All recipes will be available on login. This was the first feature written for 1.14 before Quark was developed as I couldn’t live without it. Quark’s implementation is better, so this feature will automatically disable itself if Quark is present.

Right-clicking dirt with a shovel turns it into grass path.

If Quark is present, this feature is disabled by default.

Hoe Harvesting

Right-click with a hoe to quickly harvest and replant a fully-grown crop.

If Quark is present, this feature is disabled by default.

A button to automatically stack and tidy inventories.

If Quark is present, this feature is disabled by default.

Portable Crafting

If you have a crafting table in your inventory, you can open the 3×3 crafting grid with an inventory button or by pressing the key (configurable in control settings) without having to place the crafting table down.

Shulker Box tooltips

Hovering over a filled Shulker Box in the inventory shows a tooltip with the contents.

If Quark is present, this feature is disabled by default.

Sleep improvements

By default only one player needs to sleep in order to end the night.

In addition, a configuration option has been added for the sleep animation to be finished more quickly.

If Quark is present, this feature is disabled by default.

Stackable potions

Potions, water bottles, potion bases (mundane, awkward etc) and their splash/lingering varieties can stack up to 16, making them sortable and more convenient to carry around.

Use Totem of Undying from inventory

As long as a Totem of Undying is in your inventory (rather than specifically your main- or off-hand) it will be consumed to protect you from death.

Зачаровывать можно любые элементы брони, мечи и луки, кирки, лопаты и топоры, сделанные из любого материала.

Зашифрованный текст на кнопках не несёт никакого смысла и не связан с чарами, так как составляется из списка слов случайным образом. Однако уровень влияет на то, какие могут быть получены чары. Многие чары имеют несколько уровней, а также возможно получить несколько чар на одном предмете, и с повышением стоимости повышается вероятность получения более ценного предмета. Как правило, самый дорогой пункт в меню даст лучшую комбинацию чар.


Оптимальный вариант размещения книжных полок вокруг стола зачаровывания.

Максимальный уровень опыта, на который можно зачаровать предмет, увеличивается при помещении книжных шкафов на расстоянии в один блок от стола зачаровывания. После 1.3 стоимость чар рассчитывается по формуле:

Базовый уровень (base) = (1..8 + (b/2) + 0..b),

Далее стоимость для каждого слота рассчитывается отдельно:

Уровень в верхнем слоте = max (base / 3, 1)
Уровень в среднем слоте = (base × 2) / 3 + 1
Уровень в нижнем слоте = max (base, b × 2)

где b — число близлежащих книжных шкафов. Учитывается не более 15 шкафов, стоящих на уровне стола или на 1 блок выше с промежутком от стола в один блок (квадрат 5х5 со столом в центре), между столом и шкафами не должно быть никаких блоков (даже снега, факелов и т.п.), иначе соответствующие шкафы не будут использованы. Таким образом, если нужно что-то зачаровать, но уровня персонажа не хватает, при помощи факелов можно временно «выключить» шкафы и понизить уровень чар.
