Сезонные события

Сезонное событие — временное единоразовое событие, длящееся до 3 месяцев, в течение которого появляются особые духи, дающие игроку сезонную косметику за сезонную валюту. Все игроки получают доступ к большей части контента сезонного события, но лишь покупка «пропуска к приключениям» за реальные деньги откроет доступ ко всем наградам у духов сезона, главным наградам у Старейшины и подвеске (кулону) данного сезона.

Во время действия сезона в домашнем пространстве появляется сезонное созвездие между созвездиями Тайного леса и Долины триумфа (над алтарём возвращения). В зависимости от сезона сезонные духи могут появиться все сразу, либо будут появляться по одному каждую неделю. Каждый дух сезона предлагает выражения и косметику, которые можно приобрести только за сезонные свечи. Ветки дружбы духов сезона отличаются от сюжетных, они не возносятся и последний узел в ветках — сезонные сердца, которые необходимы для покупки уникальных вещей у Старейшины сезона. Если не приобрести награды Старешины, то после завершения сезона они станут недоступны. Но некоторые узлы (включая последний) можно открыть только с «пропуском к приключениям».

После окончания сезона духи из него могут быть доступны только в качестве Странников. Странники появляются по одному раз в две недели во время действия сезона, или раз в неделю в межсезонье и присутствуют четыре дня.

Старейшина духов сезона, помимо ежедневных заданий, выдаёт особые тематические задания сезона. Чтобы выполнить их, необходимо обратиться к старейшине в том мире, где он находится.

Сезонная валюта

Свечи сезона укрытия

Сезонные свечи — это игровая валюта, доступная только во время действия сезона и предназначенная для покупки косметики и выражений у сезонных духов. Каждый день в той локации, у портала к которой стоит Старейшина сезона, можно найти 4 скопления сезонных свеч, свет с которых в сумме даёт оду полную свечу. Также 4 свечи можно получить за выполнение ежедневных заданий. Больше свечей можно получить во время события с двойными свечами — тогда на локации будет не 4, а 8 скоплений (2 свечи в сумме).

Сезонные сердца используются для покупки главных наград сезона. Купить их можно только у сезонных духов. Они находятся в конце ветки духа (это означает, что игроку придется купить всё у духа, чтобы достичь сердца). Сезонное сердце стоит 3 сезонных свечи, но взять его можно будет только если куплен «пропуск к приключениям».

По окончании сезона сезонные сердца и свечи преобразуются в обычные белые 1 к 1.

The Broomstick Cat

Each day there is a different Spirit Quest to complete here which all reward the player with fun easter eggs. However, unlike other Ancestor Spirits, these will not unlock Expressions, nor anything else. They are simply a fun way to spice up your everyday Office trip. Furthermore, they appear to tell some stories of the game’s development. Refer to the image on the right for their schedule. 

There are multiple Spirits, all found firstly within The Office. Some can be found sitting down somewhere, such as a desk chair, an exercise ball, and even behind a computer. Some of them even speak.

Two of the Spirits have slightly special powers: the Space Station Spirit and the Broomstick-Cat Spirit. No official names exist for any of the Office’s Spirits – these are merely attempts at differentiating them. The Space Station Spirit will appear on the ISS during Space days at the Office. Completing its Quest will send the player back to the Office. After completing its quest, the Broomstick-Cat Spirit will release a flying Cat on a Broomstick, which players may ride around on.

Days of Feast is back again this year with more festive celebrations than ever. The event return on 00:00 am December 20, 2021 until 11:59 pm January 9, 2022 (all times PST, UTC-8) . Once again Home is getting a wintery makeover and snow lights emit from the rink for players to retrieve. A Belonging Ancestor can be found at home with a tree full of new cosmetics to purchase with in-game currencies. When the weather is not nice outside, the Belonging Ancestor can be found inside the comfort of an igloo-shaped shelter where you can collect lights from the heat of the fireplace. During the event the Sleepy travelers boat is filled with Spells to collect as well.

The Secret Area is opened to everyone through a friendly NPC at the gate. Beside the usual Office interior decoration, outside, the rooftop will definitely rejoiced players with a large ice rink and ample space to practice your favorite skating moves. Three new NPC filled with spells and cosmetics have fun interaction with each other; a Snowman full of Spells, the Feast staff from last year and a third one with last year’s IAP snowflake Cape . Many trees with bright Christmas lights create a most magical setting, especially with snowflakes floating down from above. Many seats have been added offering ample space to chat with strangers and make new friends.

Flight and Movement Controls: iOS and Android

Control Schemes

There are two main options for control modes in the Gear Menu, and three minor ways to adjust them:

  • One Handed
    • You can do all flight, movement, and camera control with one hand
    • Camera is moved by dragging two fingers on the screen
    • Jumping is done by flicking in the direction you wish to go in
    • All other movement is with one finger
  • Two Handed
    • This mode allows you to use your device in a controller-esque way
    • The right side of the screen is used to move the camera
    • The left side of the screen is used to move your character 
    • Jumping is done by pressing the right side button, hold down to use Cape Energy and rise
  • Flip Sides (Two Handed, but reversing the sides)
  • Invert Flight
  • Invert Camera

Flight Control

Flight controls were an ongoing experiment throughout the beta period. When the global launch occurred, TGC settled on a control system that includes a button that gives you options for control: open wing and closed wing.

Open Wing Mode

Closed Wing Mode

Open Wing mode gives you more flight control in the air when you’re covering large distances or maneuvering to chase light fragments in a Quest. In this mode you can dive, rise, and turn at will. Pressing and holding on the screen uses your Cape Energy to boost your speed and/or increase your altitude. You can also find and use air streams, or Light Creatures, to help you get to places that are hard to reach. It is also possible to perform sharper turns midair through very rapid flicks in either direction. See Advanced Flying for more information on flight.

Open Wing Mode is automatically activated when you are flying over clouds, with Light Creatures such as Birds and Mantas, or during a very rapid takeoff. In Open Wing mode, «contrails» can be seen coming from your hands.

Closed Wing mode gives you more landing and movement control when you are working in a smaller space or are trying to land in a particular spot. It is very similar to ground control with the D-Pad; basically dragging your character through the air. If you lift your finger from the screen while in this mode, your character will stop or slow forward momentum, giving you the ability to land in a precise spot. This flight mode can only be activated while above solid ground. 

The Wing Mode icon appears on the screen once you are in the air. In one-handed mode it will appear on whatever side you pressed to rise into the air. In two-handed mode it will appear above the jump button.

D-Pad

The D-Pad is activated by pressing and holding anywhere on the screen (or the «movement» side of your screen, in two-handed mode) away from your avatar. It is used in both flight and ground movement. On the ground it allows you to walk or run in any direction. In Closed Wing flight mode it will give you the ability to gracefully move and land your avatar where you want to. In Open Wing mode it will simply guide your direction.

Hula Hoop

Hula Hoop is used on the ground to make small steps or movements. Activate it by pressing and holding on your avatar, and then dragging in the desired direction. This gives you the ability to take single, controlled steps, or to turn around in place.

Дни любви

Также к временным событиям относятся события с необычными игровыми элементами, обычно приуроченные к праздникам или внешнемировым событиям — новогодние праздники, дни влюблённых, дни природы так далее. Во время таких событий можно получить уникальный контент за игровую и/или реальную валюту. В отличии от сезонных наград, которые можно получить позднее у странствующих духов, покупки временных событий не могут быть получены никаким иным способом в дальнейшем.

This update includes an update to the Flight System, preparations to a new Currency Event and numerous bug fixes.

  • Auto-toggling between open-wing mode and closed-wing mode removed
  • Pricing of some in-app purchases to be lowered or increased
  • Prophecy Ultimate Mask no longer changing color between capes
  • Adjustments to the difficulty in the Trial of Air
  • Fixes to players splitting servers in Trial of Earth
  • Player’s Hairs and Outfits will no longer darken when in the middle of trials
  • Patched a table griefing glitch that allows players to move others without their consent

Basic information

The instruments’ keys change according to the background music. You can pause your key by muting the background music, if you have another music app open.

The 15-note instruments span two octaves of a major scale.

The two bells contain two rows of 4 notes. Each row contains the root, 2nd, 5th and 6th notes of the scale.

The handpan has two rows of 4 notes too. It is a pentatonic scale, of the 4th note of the major scale of the other instruments. E.g. when the player’s key is C major for the other instruments, the handpan is F major pentatonic.

  • Isle WL 1: Enter the first cave and walk to the end. Fly or jump down to the stranded boat below. Go near the glowing child and click the «hand with star» symbol to receive a wing for your cape.
  • Isle WL 2: Go to the right of the cave entrance where you receive Winged Light 1, and climb above the mouth of the cave. Walk across the top of the hill to find the Child of Light at the other end.
  • (It’s less walking if you get WL 4 before 3).
  • Isle WL 3: Go straight ahead to the ramp further away in front of the temple. The Child of Light is at the top of the ramp. You will need to have found at least one Ancestor Spirit to enter the ramp or be able to fly to the top of it.
  • Isle WL 4: Go to the very right of the area, behind the ramp to the right. There is a cave with the next Child of Light. You will need to have found at least one Ancestor Spirit to enter the cave.
  • Isle WL 5: Use the cloud tunnel on the right side of the Temple to reach the mountain structure. There is a two-person door blocking the main entrance to the cave, but you can fly up to the upper level outside (using clouds to keep you charged), and reach the Child of Light through the tunnel. It’s in a little cave offshoot on the right.

Due to the addition of the Cave of Prophecies and the Trials during the Season of Prophecy, players will receive one Winged Light for each trial they complete. As there are four Trials, there are four Winged Light.

  • Isle WL 6: You receive this Winged Light at the end of the Trial of Water. It stands at the top of the glowing mountain at the end of the Trial.
  • Isle WL 7: You receive this Winged Light at the end of the Trial of Earth. To reach it, you must complete the maze-like Trial and get to the shining tower at the end of the Trial. The Child of Light stands in the tower.
  • Isle WL 8: You receive this Winged Light at the end of the Trial of Air. You must climb the towering islands to reach the main island at the top, where the Child of Light stands.
  • Isle WL 9: You receive this Winged Light at the end of the Trial of Fire. The Child of Light stands after the final checkpoint, after you kill all the monsters.

The Season of Flight takes place in an entirely new area in Hidden Forest known as Wind Paths. The entrance to the area is through a pathway on the cloud to the right of Hidden Forest social space. Upon entering the Hidden Forest, run to the edge of social space, but instead of flying down, fly up to the right in a cloud tunnel. The doorway is protected by a Spirit Gate, requiring one (1) Spirit from Vault to enter.

To celebrate Halloween, Days of Mischief began on Thursday, October 22nd 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and concluded on Wednesday, November 4th at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). The Secret Area was open to everyone through a friendly NPC at the gate. The Secret Area was packed with spooky decorations and Dark Dragons. However, instead of just the Halloween 2019 cosmetics, one of the NPCs was wearing the Mischief Witch Hat and Mischief Cobweb Cape as well.

Using a Controller with Sky

iOS

Controllers for MFi (made for iPhone/iPad) certified controllers will work on all Apple devices. For players on iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 and above, DualShock 4 and some Xbox controllers also work with Sky.

Xbox controllers:

  • Make sure its serial number is 1708 (found inside where the battery is supposed to go or on the packaging that comes with the controller)
  • Make sure it supports Bluetooth (not all wireless controllers do)
  • If you happen to own the Xbox One S console, then your controller that comes with it will work with iOS 13 or iPadOS 13
  • Should you buy it outside the console, it’s the controller that’s named “Xbox wireless controller.» It retails for $59. Again, make sure the serial is right

PS4 controllers: PS4 controllers are the easier bunch to pair with iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 and above, as all wireless Bluetooth controllers will work! Namely the PS4 DualShock controller line. This line of controllers (excluding limited versions) retails for $59.

MFi controllers: These controllers are meant for an iOS device or an iPadOS device and phones/tablets in general. As long as it’s not too old it will be supported! One example of such a controller is the SteelSeries Nimbus. This retails for about $60 or less.

Keep in mind that for all other controllers beside MFi ones your device needs to be running iOS 13 or iPadOS 13. More extensive controller support is only on that software.

Android

Controller support is available on some Android devices. However, not all brands will work. For example, Steelseries Nimbus will not work due to incorrect button mappings (Steelseries Stratus XL, which is marketed as an Android controller, should work however).

Compatibility also depends on Android OS version and device brand. You should do research into which controllers will work correctly for your OS and device, but looking for Android compatible controllers is a good start.

PS4 and Xbox One controller support is generally pretty good on Android 9+. Further, there is native controller support in Android 10.

Knock-off controllers are not recommended, as they are indeed knock-offs and not from an original “source”. There’s no guarantee it’ll work or. You also run the risk of device issues if you do decide to try.

Connecting your controller

Make sure your controller is not connected to your console. Your controller will automatically connect to your console as it is the preferred device. Trying to pair your controller to your tablet/phone while it is connected to your console will not work! This goes for both PS4 and Xbox.

If you only own the control it’s simple; just pair it and you’re good to go!

Playing Musical Instruments with a controller

It’s possible to play notes on Sky’s musical instruments while using a game controller (e.g. Xbox, PlayStation, MFi controller). Pushing the left and right joysticks in the 8 compass directions will let you press most buttons. The remaining two buttons can be pressed with the shoulder buttons on the controller.

Finding Keys

Currently you can only get specific keys by going to certain areas that have the right notes in their background music. Often, you’ll have to wait a while for the music to quiet down before starting your practice/performance session. Below, you’ll find suggested locations for specific keys. However, these are not the only places which support a specific key of your choice, though notably the most convenient.

If you have Music Sheet 16 from Season of Prophecy, this is the most convenient way to get the E major key.

Otherwise, you can go to the , in the place where you exchange your stars for candles. (Don’t walk too far into the level as the music will change.)

Though, by using a technique (pausing your key) demonstrated in the video linked above, you can also play with E major in Eden. However, this requires being able to tell notes by ear. When the desired key is achieved (tested by playing an instrument), pause the in-game music by simply going to the Audio Settings and turning off the music.

F major

The most convenient quiet place with F sharp/G flat major is the Boneyard in Hidden Forest, after the Jellyfish have been released and the background music has finished. Though, there is also a section of the background music in the 8-player elevator where the key for the instruments is G♭ major.

You can get the G sharp/A flat major key in the Coliseum in Valley of Triumph after completing either race, and waiting for the background music to finish.

A sharp/B flat major is the key for Music Sheet #11 (Wise Stance, Season of Belonging).

The after-Temple area in Forest

A place with A sharp/B flat major is the after-Temple area in , after the background music has finished.

B major

There are a few moments where the key is B major.

To play an instrument with this key, you’ll need to use a technique called «pausing your key». To do this, you’ll need to be able to tell notes by ear. When the desired key is achieved (tested by playing an instrument), you can turn off the background music in Audio settings, at the right moment, to pause your key.
